01 — Flower beds

What goes into a bed that lasts.

Bed design

We measure the space, read the light and drainage, and draw a plan you can see before anything gets dug.

  • Plant list with mature sizes
  • Bloom sequence across the seasons
  • Bed shape and edge layout
  • Phased option if you'd rather split the cost

Turnaround 3–5 days · Free with install

Installation

Beds cut clean, soil amended properly, plants set at the right depth, mulched and watered in before we leave.

  • Bed cutting, edging and prep
  • Soil amendment and grading
  • Perennials, shrubs, annual color, bulbs
  • Hardwood or pine bark mulch

Most front beds finish in one day

Year-round care

A standing visit schedule so the bed gets attention in February and September, not just in May.

  • Pruning, deadheading, cutbacks
  • Weed control and mulch refresh
  • Seasonal color changeouts
  • Feeding and pest checks
  • Lawn mowing and edging, if you want it added

Monthly or per-visit · Cancel anytime

02 — Handbuilt woodwork

Built to your measurements, not a box store's.

The pieces that finish a bed are the ones that never fit off the shelf. We build them in cedar, sized to the wall, the porch or the bed they're going into.

  • Raised garden boxes
Vegetable and herb beds, any length, with optional trellis backs.
  • Cedar planters
Porch and entry planters, matched pairs, sized to your step width.
  • Trellises & obelisks
For climbing roses, clematis and mandevilla — freestanding or wall-fixed.
  • Bed edging and borders
Low timber edging that holds a curve and keeps mulch where it belongs.
  • Arbors & potting benches
Bigger builds, quoted from a sketch and a couple of measurements.

03 — Experience and coverage

Meet Hampton Lowery.

Lowery Lawn and Landscapes is new. The experience behind it isn't. Hampton spent more than ten years working in professional nursery care in West Tennessee.

He owns the business, and he's the one who shows up. You'll deal with him from the first estimate through every maintenance visit after.

Fully insured. If something goes wrong on your property, it's our problem to fix — not yours.

04 — What "year-round" actually means

The bed needs something in every season. Here's the schedule.

This is the maintenance rotation for a typical bed in Madison County. Take all of it, or pick the visits you don't want to do yourself.

Feb — Mar

Late winter

  • Cut back perennials and grasses
  • Dormant pruning on shrubs
  • Pre-emergent before weeds start
  • Re-cut the bed edge

Apr — May

Spring

  • Set annual color
  • Fresh mulch, 2–3 inches
  • First feeding
  • Prune spring bloomers after flowering

Jun — Aug

Summer

  • Deadhead to keep bloom going
  • Weed and edge maintenance
  • Watering check and adjustment
  • Replace anything struggling in the heat

Sep — Nov

Fall

  • Mums, pansies and fall color
  • Divide and move crowded perennials
  • Plant bulbs for spring
  • Leaf cleanup and mulch top-off

Already booking us for the year? Lawn mowing and edging can be added to the same visit schedule — one crew, one bill, nothing else to arrange. Ask when we quote the beds.

Get started

Send us the space.

Fill this out and it opens an email addressed to us with your details already filled in. Before you send it, attach a few photos of the yard or beds as they look right now — photos tell us more in ten seconds than a paragraph does, and they often let us quote without a first visit.

We're on job sites through the day, so email and text reach us far better than a phone call.
